ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ recognized for health and safety

News-NAOSH is an annual, continent-wide event in which employers, workers, and all partners in occupational health and safety collaborate to promote injury and illness prevention in the workplace. This year’s theme was “Make Safety A Habit.”

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½’s Health & Safety department has been busy promoting a safe work culture at the college. Some of the initiatives implemented which resulted in the college being recognized with this award were:

  • A Day of Mourning event held at both the Downtown and Broadway campuses;
  • Joint health & safety training which was held during NAOSH week;
  • A college-wide NAOSH Week contest.

“We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s activities as well as the many other initiatives we have implemented,” says Yang Wang, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½’s Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator. “We look forward to continued success in 2016.”
