Welcome to Ҵý, new and returning students! We're very excited to start on-campus classes again this fall, and even more so to see you in person. Keep reading for important information about safety, support, and services for your upcoming school year.

COVID-19 vaccinations

Ҵý strongly encourages all students who are eligible and able, to . Vaccination is the best defence we have against COVID-19. Starting Monday, Sept. 13, everyone 12 years old and over will need to provide proof of vaccination to access many events and services in B.C. This will include some publicly available services on Ҵý campuses. Cafeterias are exempt. Read more >

Masks required on Ҵý campuses

Effective Wednesday, Aug. 25, everyone 12 years old and over must wear a mask when in indoor public settings. The mask order applies to all indoor public areas on post-secondary campuses including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, libraries, cafeterias, classrooms, and labs. Read more >

Student rights and responsibilities

Ҵý expects students to conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully. As such, students are required to be familiar with academic and non-academic policies. Please review Ҵý's student non-academic conduct policy and procedures, as well as Ҵý's academic integrity policy and procedures. [PDF]

Services for students

Ҵý offers many support services to help you during studies. All services are available and will be offered in person, by phone, or online.

Use the  student portal to look up grades, order transcripts, download tax forms, receive campus news and alerts, and access your Ҵý student email.

If it's your first time logging in, your initial password will use your birthday in this format: ҴýMMDDYY# ("Ҵý" plus your birthday (MMDDYY) plus "#").

E.g. if your birthday is January 30, 1995, your initial temporary password will be Ҵý013095#. Following your first login, you will be prompted to create a new, secure password.

Check your Ҵý email regularly for important college notifications and communications from your instructors.

For those entering blended or online courses, we have created a guide with practical tips and resources that will help you learn how to get set up, become comfortable with Ҵý's technologies, identify effective strategies for learning online, and access free student supports. Get started >

Indigenous Gathering Spaces are open

Ҵý’s Indigenous Gathering Spaces promote cultural safety and belonging while offering the use of computers, printers, kitchenettes, and casual meeting areas. Our Downtown and Broadway Gathering Spaces are pleased to be open once again to support Indigenous learners and guests.

Labour Day

Did you know Labour Day has been an official Canadian holiday since 1894? It was established to honour the labour and rights of tradespeople and the working class. Ҵý closed.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

This new holiday commemorates the history and legacy of residential schools, and honours Indigenous survivors, families, and communities. Ҵý closed.

Date: Thursday, Sept. 30

 

Ҵý bursary deadline

Ҵý bursaries are non-repayable grants given to students who demonstrate financial need.

The Great ShakeOut

Prepare to “drop, cover, and hold on” as Ҵý participates in this annual, worldwide earthquake safety drill.
