ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ English assessments meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for most ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ programs. Find out which one is right for you. These assessments are for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ programs only.
Choose an English Assessment
If...
- English is your first language, and
- You are comfortable with a standard testing room, equipment, and amount of time, and
- Your program accepts ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ English language assessments

If...
- English is not your first language, and
- You are comfortable with a standard testing room, equipment, and amount of time, and
- Your program accepts ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ English language assessments
You should take: ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ EAL (ESL) Accuplacer with ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ EAL (ESL) Speaking Assessment
If you...
- Are applying for the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program, and
- You have completed three years* of full-time, face-to-face secondary, or post-secondary education in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction
You should take: ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ HCA (Health Care Assistant) NG Accuplacer
* English as an Additional Language (EAL/ESL) courses are not considered in the three-year calculation.
ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Health Sciences programs' English Assessments
If you are applying for a Health Sciences program other than the Health Care Assistant program, check the Health Sciences English Language Proficiency page.
- Some health programs do not accept ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ English assessments (e.g. Practical Nursing).
- Some health programs do not accept ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ English assessments for applicants with less than 3 years of study in English (e.g. Health Care Assistant, Pharmacy Technician).
